our lovely Lou, a tiel died in August 2006 and my hubby was inconsolable...devastated..He just sat in his room and cried.. I dragged him to a breeder...we picked out a little devilish runt of the litter..with a glint in his eye...we waited 3 weeks until little Sam was weaned..we brought Sam home the same day my father died...we had Sam home 2 hours & I got the call..it was if my dad said, here, here is a little bundle you can love...my gift from Dad....well little rotten monster has batteries..that never run dry...does heart wings, talks runs around...did i mention talking..has quite the vocabulary...bad baby good baby boy triple whistle double whistle pepsi commercial coo coo coo caw caww warble.you name it she says it..oh yes SHE did I mention that in early September bad baby boy gifted us with eggies... :eek: double clutched back to back..and she would roll the eggies and talk to them bad baby boy bad baby boy..myhubby is on disability and Sam is the light of his life..I really think that if Sam wasnt around my husband would be a lot sicker...she is a tad confused as she is still talking and girl tiels dont talk..but she is our gender confused sweetheart.. l love her so much....our Sam our Sam she is special. thanks for letting me come on this board any friend of Larry's is a friend of mine for sure!!!!!

Welcome, I am so glad to find we are getting another couple tiel owners on here. They really do have quite the personalites for such a small package. I have 2 boys (tiels) at home, and they are just little lovies!

Aww, what a wonderful, sweet 'Tiel! At least Sam still works for a girl name. Lancelot (E2) is a girl also. Oops.

Tiels are just darling little things. Had tiels on my second go with birds (parakeets as a child) and now have big birds the third time with birds.

Tiels do have quite the personality and cute as a button. Now I have big birds...I have to say though that tiel birdie bites hurt more than these other guys ouchie ouchie.

Sam story was lovely and SHE sounds so nice.
