I have read where some people give their birds the cardboard roll that the paper towels and toilet paper were on. Is that safe? because there is usually some glue residue left on them...

I have heard that the glue contains levels of zinc, but I cannot get a confirmation on that. Could be an urban legend or it could be true. I dunno.

Maybe someone else can give some facts on this.

I cannot find any thing difinitive - just people stating stuff... no conclusion at all.

But - when in doubt -- don't.
