We put goofy out in the aviary today because she has been screaming for Bonnie whenever Bonnie is not holding her and it was starting to drive us a little crazy. I had a sudden thought. I wonder how Bhodi and Goofy would respond to one another? I'm not usually one for pairing birds that are used to being pets, but I have had luck with pairing a screamer which can really calm some birds down.

I opened both of their doors and let them come out in their own time. It wasn't love at first sight but they didn't seem to hate each other either. Cautious is probably a good word. Neither seemed triggered by the other, and that was good. What do you all think? Give them some more time to get to know one another or scrap the idea and continue to work with them seperately?

I don't remember whether you know their sexes.

I would be careful putting two males together, or even a male and female, during breeding season, unsupervised. I know of a few instances in which the male killed the female--in one case they had been together for several years.

Waiting to hear how they are doing. Evelyn mentioning the supervision thing was also my first thought, it does depend on how much room they have to get away from each other. Poor Bhodi has so many triggers it does make things tricky.
