After several emails with Anna, and a few conversations with hubby I am going to adopt Sydney!!!! Anna will keep her until July and I will bring her home when we go there on Happy Birdy Holiday!!

I didn't get Sunshine. Anna has a friend who hit it off with Sunshine and he with her, and since we didn't know how Sunshine and I would get along, Anna thought he would be better off with the friend. I am disappointed, of course, but the important thing is what is best for Sunshine.

I am so excited for you and going to try my best to get Sydney feeling a lot better before July. She's really a sweet girl and we're going to really miss her after having her so long. I don't think she could be going to a better home though and I think she is a perfect personality match for you.

I'm so sorry Evelyn. I wanted you to have Sunshine so bad. I had a rock in my stomach when I saw how much Sunshine liked my friend...and she hadn't even come over with an interest in him or any of the other birds. All I could think was "Oh my, now what am I going to tell Evelyn?" And even kept telling my friend that no, no, no! She couldn't complicate things like this for me. But this is just one example of how birds pick what they want and I just can't see sunshine being any happier. My friend is a pretty private individual so sadly we wont get photos and videos, though she will be sure to update me on sunshine and we agreed that if sunshine seems unhappy for any reason, he is to be brought back to me, which I know she will honor. I feel pretty awful about getting you excited Evelyn and then having to crush that. I hope you can forgive me for that, at some point. I think you would have been a fantastic home.

Please don't worry about this. There is nothing to forgive. I know your reason for changing your mind was pure. I'm disappointed--not mad. If it's meant to be, it will be. I really do feel as though we are meant for each other.

There was a wonderful horse I could have purchased for $8,000.00 when he was a colt. I didn't do it because I thought it was too much of a gamble when he wasn't yet under saddle. He turned out to be a great horse, and a year later, he sold for $140,000.00. Several years later, the owner was involved in a divorce, and I made an offer, but was turned down. A couple of years later, the owner was behind in her board and training bill, and I bought him for less than I would have paid for him as a colt. He is a great horse and I did very well with him. He's a very big horse, though. I need a stepladder to get on him. But he's very gentle, even though he's a stallion.

I agree with the if its meant to be it will be.... Take me for instance.. ever since I was a child I had wanted a U2 ... now circumstances have brought me two of them ... I AM SO LUCKY..... :D

And me, I wanted to be a Zoo keeper as a child & I was and always wanted a Cockatoo a Rosebreasted but I do have my Harry Too an Umbie instead. Never got to have a horse, a CAG or Chickens though but I am still on the planet, who knows what lies ahead? Just can't see around that corner into tomorrow. Any one else have a always wanted story with a happy ending?

Hey, Everybody -

Don't feel sad for me. Anna and I have had some lengthy discussions about Sunshine; and I understand perfectly her reasons. We are perfectly cool with each other. She is going to do what she thinks is best for Sunshine, which is what I want also.
