Then I decided to call the animal shelter here in town.
We live in rural Oklahoma and there are not many pet birds or bird people here. SO... I called the Animal Shelter and asked them if they needed birdy foster parronts. They said that they get birds, but very rarely. They did, however, put my name on file as someone to call if they need me in the future. SO... I'm very excited about it. I could hear from them tomorrow or never, but I offered, what they do with it is up to them...

Hurray! That's awesome! We did that with our local animal control. We don't get many calls from them...except for crows and the like (which i wont take in). But they at least know we're here. Our animal control officer said she wanted to come live with me and be one of my birds when she came to the house to do an inspection. LOL.

We live in rural Oklahoma also and there is a rescue group that will place foster birds with you if you are interested. That is how I got my LSC2. Let me know if you want more details.
