Here is a link to the perches I use. I also have wood perches in Baby's cage. But she sleeps on her special Comfy perch.

Which size do you have Larry? We tried to get one when we were in the city this weekend but all we could find were boings.

Comfy Perch - Large - 36 in. The one in the link.

I orderded mine from them. I have 8 of them - I just toss hem when they get too frayed. I have 3-4 in her cage at all times. Gives her some variety.

All my birdies prefer them. Of course we have a mix in the cages, but these are the prefered perches....

The teils like the calcium perches that have the sea shell in them..... They love to chew on them for hours...

Chicken perfers the perch my husband put inside the 'dome' on his cage. It's way up high and I have toys hung up there. He sleeps there at night. Then during the day he loves his branch perch that I found in the yard one day lol.

All of mine like these perches too. I just got a few donated to us which is awesome because The Bat and Benny Boy go through them so quickly.

Here's an idea. What about bungee cords? There was a presentation at ASA Conference and the breeder had twigs in the aviary for the babies to perch on, but she had added bungee cords around the sides for more perching area. I told a friend here who is a breeder and he thought it was a great idea. Seems it would be cheaper.

Most bungee cords are made with that metal covered in a soft plastic, not a good idea.

You can find some that have plastic clips on the end, and even ones that have the carrabeener (sorry s/p) on the end and will clip shut. Do you think these would be ok, I am thinking there is another reason why we can't use them but can not remember?

Thanks. I had no clue. I just thought they looked exactly like what Larry showed a photo of!

I would be afraid of a bird eating the rubber part on the inside or having one of those snap and hit a bird, injuring it. Just a few concerns since most parrots are kind of accident prone anyway...just like me.
