This morning the sun was shining and Cassie was fine, but a short time ago it started to rain again and she didn't like it one bit. As soon as I closed the blinds so she could not see it she was fine. Is this normal behavior?

It appears it is normal behavior for Cassie. Each bird is different - just like each person is different. :dancered:

Just the other night it was blowing and gusting and the wind was howling. You could hear he rain beating down with force on the side of the house and on our tin roof. I rolled over in bed and nudged Andy awake so that I could tell him that I was scared. I'm pretty sure that if creatures like us with a great understanding of how things work can still be afraid or anxious during a storm, then our parrots certainly can be too. Some parrots get really excited about the rain and go bonkers trying to bathe in their water sources...kind of like a little kid who wants to go splash in the puddles...but I imagine most birds in the wild would not be thrilled about a big storm and our birds inside are no exception. They don't know they aren't in the wild, remember. Shhhh. I wont tell if you wont. ;)
