I don't know what to think she will not come to me, she usually loves to cuddle and get her head rubbed but today for some reason she won't let me touch her. She will come out of her cage for a while but she stays away from me, if I go near her she goes the other way. Heck she even got back into her cage without me having to put her in there, that's not normal for her.

I wouldn't worry too much about it right now. Sometimes they get in moods where they don't want to be bothered. Has the weather changed? How long have you had her again?

Chrissy,
It could be as Bonnie said - just one of those moods. It could be the rain. It could be something that ticked her off yesterday and she has not yet gotten over it. It could be that she didn't sleep well last night and is a bit tired.
But ---- watch her closely. Any sign of behavior change could be the first sign of illness.
Just keep an eye on her.
Please keep us posted.

I will keep an eye on her for sure. she is acting quite normal other than not letting me touch her and getting into her cage without my help. She will try to talk to me, I have been trying to teach her more words.

Like Larry said, keep an eye on her just in case. I know that sometimes when the weather gets worse Chicken tends to not want anything to do with me. It kind of hurts my feelings. LOL

Actually the other birds are being a little standoffish too, like they are saying just leave me alone.

Poor Chrissy! This happens to me sometimes. We have bad weather A LOT this time of year... I'll put my arm in to the cage to offer him to step up and will get snubbed. I feel your pain!

LOL, what I am going to say....multiple birds help. Snubbed by one, loved by the next one. One thing that always sticks in my mind is a program on magicians and their animals. AS they talked about their animals you could see how much they cared. A few of them mentioned that they have a couple of animals. They did this because the manin show animal is not always ON. They too can have a mood and not be ready to perform. How sensitive that the magician understood this and made allowances for their birds.
I think this happens with our companion animals also. We are so use to the cuddle, play with me, life is good. But, there are days they just need their space. And of course, being the good parrants we are say ok, we can share later. Kind of go with the flow...:smiles: as this too will pass. STop by periodically and just chat for a moment then move on. When they are ready to be with you, they will let you know.

my birds all go through this from time to time. Not wanting attention, or to be touched. I will offer and if they shy away, I just leave them be. The weather causes this, full moon will make them edgy, also different times of the day. If I'm home on the weekend, none of them care to come out of their cages much during the hours I'm usually gone to work, it's like I'm interfearing with "their time"
keep us updated.

Yes I do and I am keeping an eye on it. I just hate that I might have to leave here, its not easy transorting 3 birds and 4 dogs. But I will if I have to.

Just get all the stuff ready and easily accessable so you can grab and go in a hurry if you need to!

Whatever you do, don't make a big deal about a standoffish bird. If you are feeling hurt and rejected, get out of the house for a while. Don't try to force yourself on them as this will only upset them more. Give yourself a little time to settle down and your sweet baby will probably return in no time. Unfortunately our wonderfully smart birds tend to feed off our own emotions and we end up making the situation worse. :p

She finally gave in and gave me a little cuddle just to pacify me I think. Also I am convinced its the weather even my dogs are acting weird (they don't want to eat) for them thats weird.
