Cassie (aka Casper) has new feathers on her shoulders and on her legs, legs somewhat sparse but its a start. I don't meant the down feathers either. I tried to get pics hope you can see what I am talking about. I am so excited about this I hope she leaves them alone. She has lots of destruction toys and preening toys, I change them out every few days so she doesn't get bored with them. I also have been misting her every other day with George's aloe (been doing the other two birds also can't hurt right). I don't think she will ever be fully feathered but she looks so much better than she did. I wish I had gotten pics when she first came here, she didn't like the camera and I didn't want to stress her any more than she already was. Bye the way the pink on her is from a red calcium perch she has, she was pink all over for a while LOL :D

Chrissy..I can see a difference in Casper..from your 1st post..I've been fortunate that Bambam is not a plucker..yet he chews everything he can reach..I pull him away with a "hurt baby"..in other words he plucks my toys:rofl::rofl:

I am hoping when I bring home Angel Baby she will get even better.

Chrissy - you certainly are doing something right.

Baby's feathers take so long to grown in - and when they do get to the pin feather stage or the downy stage - she plucks them.

I want to know your secret.

All I am doing is following the advice of the great people here at Happy Birdy, so glad to be here. I am still waiting for help from that other place.

Ah-Ha! Casper has been seeing pictures of that Dolly and is jealous. Pink is the new fad. Pink like Dolly. I'm so proud of Casper! she looks wonderful! I bet she has a great chance of having all of her feathers again. It took Benny Boy about 8-9 months to get all his feathers in but sure enough, they all came back.

I do hope she does get them all, but if she doesn't she is still a beautiful bird to me.
