Peek-a-Boo

About 5 or 6 months ago I was working with Benny Boy to see if I could get him interested in play. I would slowly put the bed covers over his head and then peek underneath saying "Peek-a-Boo." He never seemed traumatized by this but he didn't seem enthused either. Right before katie was born and thereafter, I really haven't gotten back into the habit of playing this game with him but the other day Benny surprised us! Clear out of no where we started hearing "Peek-a-Boo!" Now he says it all day long as it's his new favorite thing to say. He has the cutest little voice and we can't help but giggle. I can't believe he remembered "peek-a-Boo" after such a long time and then just decided to start saying it out of the blue one day. I love my little Benny boy.:smiles:

It's amazing how smart they can be. What a cute story. Whenever we put something over Cody's head, he says coo , coo, also with this cute little voice. You could just eat them up!

Did any of Wanda's birds play peek-a-boo with you while they were there? I think I recall you playing that with the other Bat-too right? Maybe he is just wanting to join in on the fun with you!!!! He is so cute, just makes me want to snuggle him all up!

I can't play that with my Carl, when you to lift the covers off of him and show your face he runs at you with a beak open. Not normally to bite, but because he is so excited, and one time he nibbled a bit to hard. He just gets to over stimulted....

You are totally right! I did play peek-a-boo with benny battoo when he first arrived a few times. BatToo never said it back but I wonder if Benny Boy had a little reminder, watching that and that's why he started saying that? I wish I could get him saying Peek-a-boo on video...it would make you all warm and fuzzy inside. Benny can nibble hard too but he usually gets the message when I push his beak away from my hand when he does it. Then he switches gears and just starts nudging instead.

I can't wait to hear him or see him doing that. And if his voice is half as cute as Chrissy, I'll be in love..AGAIN...*sigh* Speakin' of Chrissy's voice, haven't heard much from her lately...huh, huh??
