OH MY GOD he is in so much pain on his left side..he does have hep c the liver is on the right side...he is in stage one of that it is not that...could take 20 years to get to stage 2---an emergency colonoscopy is scheduled for June 27th and that is on an emergency they think it might be his spleen..that is the prob with free health care up here in Canada...it may be free but the waits are terrible..well you can live without a spleen....the pain isnt getting worse..it is just always there and sometimes it is bad...and then it goes away...what else is on your left side? anybody know..maybe it is something simple like ibs...I am so worried that I can hardly think straight...I shudder to think what a non emergency visit would be two years? when i had menopausal problems two years ago I waited four mnths for a visit four months and I was bleeding every day for that four months...i ended up getting anemia by the time I was in to see the emergency gyno...gee...please pray that the thing on his left side is something simple lll dear god I AM SO WORRIED

I'm holding your hand & giving you strength! I went through three days of bad pain & finally gave in on the fourth day ending up in the ER for a blockage that turned out to be cancer. That was 4 years ago I am doing fine now so think positive! I was just too stubborn to give in before that, convinced myself that it was food poisoning.

I wish I knew something about medicine, but I don't. There may be a member who is a nurse, who could tell you.
In the meantime, you and hubby have my prayers.

Watch out for raw onions too, they can really cause IBS to become very hard to mannage!
I suggest you do a thorough web search on Diverticulitis - and speak to your Physician about that possibility also.
I certainly hope you can get him some relief, best wishes.
Don
You are on my prayer list.
