With much heartache I have to announce that Uriel is leaving tomorrow. We are taking him to his new home, a 10 acre ranch in the country, tomorrow morning. I know that he will be happy and well cared for but my heart really sinks to think of being without him. A few weeks ago we had to move Uriel from his prized spot in the kitchen back into quarentine because he had been climbing down from his perch and going after the kids. I have so missed seeing all of Uriel's silly antics while I sit down for a meal but he seems a bit happier in the back where it was much more quiet until Bhodi showed up. Every morning and evening I have gone in to give my big boy some lovin' and tonight I had him out for an extra long cuddle after giving him some special treats. How will we go without his opera singing in the morning? He brought such great joy to us while he was here and my greatest wish is that he will bring as much joy to his new family. We're going to miss you, you big red lizard. I'll keep you all updated on him when we ge updates from his new family.

Maybe Peggy Sue will take up opera! One of my kids (just turned 20 yesterday) sings Japanese opera while mowing the yard? lol

You have found such a wonderful home for Uriel, so keep that in mind and all will be fine.... You have given him such a wonderful home full of time and love, and giving him to a new home that will not have the worries of little babies will do wonders for him.... Chin up, go get some snuggles with Peggy Sue and know all is better in the long run....

Anna -

I know how hard it is to give one up. But he is going to a good home (I know you made sure of that), and there will be another one who needs you and who will fill the empty space in your heart.
