Hi, I was trying to do a quick reply to a msg and it just said waiting...for a really long time. I finally clicked the advanced button and once it changed over it went right through, then I went to another area and the same thing happened. I was just wondering if anyone else was having the same problem or if it was just me.

hmmm...it's working for me. But, my private messages don't work like everyone else's. So you have not been picked on alone. I have been singled out too:glare:

That should be fixed now... are you still having problems with them?

Well, I was until tonight. I tried last night and it gave the message that I needed wait between posts...I never got it through. I tried one tonight and it got through. I have somehow managed to divert the alien's attention from my computer to hers, I think...

I've only used the quick reply once, I think. Well, now twice. If I remember I had the same problem so I didn't try it again.

Jill (or anybody who knows) -
I am trying to figure out how to communicate with the Editors' Committee for the Happy Birdy Book.
Larry is going to set up a separate forum for the book because I think a lot of people will be interested in the progress and might want to contribute. But there are some administrative things that I don't think they would want to be bored with.
Is there a way to create a list with just specific names on it, and send PM only to those people?
I could create a group in gmail, but I would like to keep all the HB stuff together.
Thanks for any help anybody can give me.

Evelyn,
This may work for you:
Go to your User CP (http://www.happybirdy.com/mainforum_happybirdy_com/usercp.php) and click on "Buddy / Ignore Lists" (its toward the bottom under Miscellaneous). That will allow you to make a list of the people that you want to send a group PM to. Once you have made a buddy lis, you can go to the "quick links" and click "buddy list." That will open up a window with your list and allow you to check whoever you want to send a group PM to.
Will that work? :)

Jill -
Thanks. I will give it a try.
Can you have more than one buddy list?

I think you can only have one list, but you can add more than just "the committee" to it - it will let you check however many of your contacts that you want, so you dont have to send a message to the whole list you created :)
