I am shocked....

....and probably will not post again....older members will understand....a friend of mine was searching her family tree on google....she came across the name of the "co founder" of happy birdy...it was the same person who sold me this pc...I always wondered why I got strange e..mails..and apparently this pc is still sort of carrying that name somewhere...I AM NOT that person,,,oh my :confused::confused::confused:

Just FYI Violet, and this may not be related, but a lot of people's facebook accounts are being hacked and crazy emails are going out with their names attached. Also a site I'm affiliated with had the same thing happen a couple of weeks ago.

I depend on h.B as you all are so mutch advanced in caring for the birds...also seeing what the rest of the world shares is wonderful...our vet is only available to us for a short time each month....I am still upset by this silly happening....thanks

I'm confused as well...but does this have to do with "Tony?" Wasn't "Tony" originally a co-founder before we discovered, well, what we discovered? Maybe my timeline is off. The only others I can thin kof are Jill W. and Evelyn but not sure why that would be bad. If you are talking about scam artist Tony/Jill, I don't think anyone thinks you are that person. I'm totally out of the loop in this situation but I am curious as to why you think that others would have ill feelings toward you.

hi anna, no, I do not think any of you feel bad towards me,,,it is that happy .b is metioned and I have ...tony/jill's pc....and am embarrased..and a bit paranoid that someone may misunderstad....I have received weird e malis from australia,,,have changede company's for my pc....the emails stopped...i let DOT know, when I did this a few months ago...hope this answers you.....

If I remember correctly, the Tony/Jill thing happened before HB. The way the situation was handled on another board was the reason why HB began.

Hi Violet,

I hope I can straighten out some of this mess for you.

Firstly -- I am Uncle the Owner of HB... I also post as Larry, Baby and Me.

When I am on the board as Uncle, I am acting in the administrative position. And when I post as Larry, Baby and Me, I post as one of the regular members.

Secondly -- there never has been a co-founder of HB. There is only one owner and that is me. I have chosen 3 of our Sentinels to take over HB in case of my leaving this earth. I trust them completely.

When you first joined HB, I received an email from you asking if you may join. I noticed that your return email name was Jill K. I recognised the name and asked you if you were related to Jill Keratai or Tony Evans. You said you were not and you had bought your PC from someone and that must have been their name.

Most of us here on HB were on another board... and Tony Evans/Jill Keratai was on that board as well. But none knew that the person going by the name of Tony Evans was in fact a transexual with a name change to Jill Keratai. Also --- this person of question has never been on HB.

Any now to make a very, very long horrible story very short --- Tony/Jill played our emotions... he/she made up horrible stories even faking his/her own death to draw sympathy from us and for us to send presents and money... which we all did. After faking her death she went by the name of Rua Karetai... his/her neice.

Little did we know that we were dealing with a mentally ill person.

I did extensive research into this person. I even contacted a newspaper reporter on the South Island who went to her house... and the police were also involved for potential Internet scam.

As it stands -- we here on HB have nothing to do with Tony Evans aka Jill Keratai also aka Rua Keratai. He/she is banned forever from ever getting into HB to cause trouble.

I hope those people from Australia are leaving you alone. I know that Tony/Jill has relatives and friends in Australia... He/she also has enemies in Australia... so, I don't know which have been bothering you.

Lastly --- you have been an upstanding member of HB. You have shared your birdy stories with us as we have shared with you. All of us here think of you as one of our family... and we will stand up and fight for one of our family.

I hope you don't let those pi$$-heads in Australia and other places influence you to leave HB... we certainly would dearly miss you.

Some more needs to be said about ownership and founders of HB.

I might be the owner of record, but the real owners are the many who came on board at the beginning. They are the same ones who encouraged me to get HB up and running so we all would have a home to go to. They are the same ones who donate every year to pay for the hosting fees.

It all started with a big flap on another board. That flap was about Tony Evans and his/her supposed death. Most of us on HB today were booted off that other board because we stood up for Tony. We had no place to go... so, some of the members twisted my arm to start HB.

I was reluctant at first, but they insisted. I already had the domain name and I had the skills to put the technical stuff in order. With some hard work and determination, HB was born.

So -- In reality - there are many co-founders, and there are many owners of HB --- but Tony Evans was never one of them, because he/she was dead at the time.

I hope this clears it up for ya'll.

I think the fact that Larry has such a big heart and even after finding out that Tony was in fact mentally ill...he still felt sorry for her...as did I....imagine being a mentally ill person and being so lonely and alone....very very sad...fine she scammed us, including me, but my heart still goes out to her ....and Larry is a good guy, honest Violet...

Boy do I remember that big incident as well. I also felt sorry for Tony and sent a card with pictures. I was extremely busy at this time and didn't get involved like some of you so did not get banned from the other site. Very tense back then. Larry has been a wonderful, sweat person starting up HB. HB has been a wonderful family as well. I feel bad that I have not kept up as much. I get so busy with school, orchestra, my traveling groups, that I have little time or energy to keep up. Sorry!!!
