What a little snuggly guy, he is like a little puppy rolling around. Great trust there Brenda!

hehe He is like every bird rolled into one! There is just SO MUCH personality in him! If you only wanted to be a 1 bird household, a RFM would be the one. but NO way would I be without my girls.

That bird absolutely adores you! Does he try to monopolize your attention? Are the others at all jealous?

Jaiden would be with me 24/7 if I would let him. I have to encourage him to play when he's out of his cage cuz he just wants da momma :haha: I still cannot let him out with the girls, Cassie teases him endlessly and pulls his tail, Stella tolerates him for about 5 minutes then wants to attack him cause he's getting my attention. So the girls get their time, and then Jaiden has momma all to himself. I just have to juggle my time differently and have bedtime 1/2 an hour later than we use to and everyone gets their time and is happy.

Since knowing them, I change my vote (from cockatoos) stating that in fact, the red fronted macaw is absolutely THE MOST needy & demanding parrot available. There seem to be no boundaries that are clearly understood by the red front. They do what they want to do when they want and though they may listen to direction for a brief moment, they will again forget within minutes and go back to being naughty. Gravity means nothing. They will roll down your chest and expect you to catch them, fall backwards on your hand knowing full well that there may or may not be a hand behind them to catch them. They will even roll over on your shoulder and balance themselves there, deciding perhaps to stick a claw up your nose. When they are shouldered they are pressed so firmly against the face of their person that it can sometimes feel difficult to breathe. They remind me of a 9 month old baby who has just begun teething - pulling hair, pinching cheeks, removing glasses, sticking fingers up nostrils, tugging on clothes, fussing for mommies attention, and picking up every object in sight for examination. Their energy levels are endless and it seems that no matter how much attention they get, they always feel that they must be in the center. It can become difficult to pay attention to any other bird when a red front is out because he will simply climb down onto the floor, come find his person and tug on a pant leg until attention is fully paid to him. I can see where other birds might become quickly jealous, especially other macaws who are used to being the absolute favorite, if you know what I mean. They really do seem to hold characteristics of every other parrot - testy like an amazon, playful like a macaw, cuddly like a large cockatoo, full of energy like a smaller cockatoo, goofy like a conure, intellegent like a grey, beaky like a mini macaw, roley-poley like a lory, and way too cute to ever stay mad at for longer than a moment!
I enjoyed your video Brenda. Jaiden looks like a sweet bundle of trouble, T-R-O-U-B-L-E.
