Alternate Title: Got a good scare today.

Alternate Title: My heart rate is almost back to normal.

Alternate Title: They didn't eat each other.

Obviously I went with the title that would not scare you to death. Major brain fart. I was restringing a toy for Tommie (love those 16" skewers - restringing is nothing) and of course, Fergie had to help. But once on the floor, she went into :witch: mode. It is like she is from another planet. :alien:

I had to dance away from her to keep from being bitten and I used a towel to step her up and put her happy butt in jail. I went back and picked up the toy, and was hanging it when..... I don't know if I heard something or if I looked up, but I saw something green in Fergie's cage. Oh, my gosh. Leroy was still in there foraging. I had just dumped Fergie on the perch next to Leroy and at that point, neither of them made a sound.

I am one lucky human and they are two sweet birds who got praise and pine nuts.

Been there done that. Seems like the birds looked at each other in amazement and probably commenting to each other once I left for work saying "early alzheimers do yah think

Poor Dot (giggle, giggle). I have done similar things and the birds just sit there and stare at me like I'm crazy. They're right, of course.

they always seem to amaze us with how they behave towards each other. they were probubly as shocked to see each other that close as you were when you noticed what had happened. Glad all turned out well.
