Over the last couple of months we have been working on a deadline at work that FINALLY ended yesterday!!! The last couple of weeks I have been working overtime
1-3 hours per day plus weekends. I have seen more of the office than of my home or fidsL
Last Saturday hubby came home really sick, he layed in bed from Sat afternoon until his Dr appt Monday morning. He has been home all week giving the birds attention and learning more about them. He has been asking me why the birds get so loud & make so much racket & I’ve been trying to explain to him about the “nature” of keeping parrots. We have been catching parts of the parrots in the land of Oz and he is realizing how loud parrots really are in the wild & how destructive they can be, also he was reading my recent Bird Talk magazine and there were a couple of good articles in there. He has been more patient with the “flock calls” and sometimes even encouraging it?? Is that really my hubby??
We have been having lots of snow & cold temps here, Jill sent me a tropical beanie baby to warm me up. What a sweetie she is.
The girls have been so good and understanding with momma being so tired, I have been getting the best cuddles from them. I have been getting help washing the dishes and making supper, what little I’ve been cooking.
Cassie is just a little goof, when we play on the couch she will be preening her back feathers and then tumble & roll off my lap, then the fun begins. I’ve been calling her my little rolly polly. Hehehe and then she will use my fingers as her own personal jungle gym, climb & roll & flip around.
While playing with one of her foot toys, Stella looked at it, moved it back and forth, then screamed into it like it was a microphone.
I have been trying to teach Stella to pick up her toys and put them back in the toy box. Last night she put away 2 of themJ
I have been dealing with mice, and have now made a glue trap moat around Stella and Cassies cages at night after I tuck them in. I’ve caught 4 mice and Stella doesn’t seem as scared as she was this past week.
My life will now be a bit more normal, but I have lots of housework to catch up on, although hubby has been doing the laundry for me the last couple of days since he’s been home all week.
Now… I have LOTS of reading to do. I need to catch up on the board happenings.
I’ve posted a few pics of the girls, I’ll get some newer ones up soon.
