I am sorry to announce to you all, that rua and her grand daughter, died in sydney australia yesterday. I am a friend of the family and am sad to have to relay the sad news to you

How very tragic to loose our gentle friends. They will both be reunited with Jillian now and our world is a little less for their loss. Those birds have had a very difficult year also. My tears are falling for their remaining family & the birds & for us all.

Kora -

Oh, my God, no!!!! How incredibly tragic! I feel as though I knew her through BirdsNWays (another bird board from which some of us were banned because we wanted to talk about Jillian). That is how this board was born. In a way it is a sort of memorial to Jillian and now to Rua.

What will happen to the birds?

Is there a way we can send flowers? If so, where should they be sent? I am in the US, but I know flowers can be sent to Australia because I did it for Jillian.
