Benny BatToo found the clicker again today. The last time he had it he tried and tried to figure out how to make it click. Today he didn't pull any punches - I think he must have sat in his cage pondering the clicker last night. He pulled the button right off and put it aside. click! click! click! He used the tip of his beak to make it click instead of using the button. Who needs a button anyway?

I have been trying to teach Dolly how to do "Brush Your Teeth" since she is so interested in gestures and sounds. She really enjoys putting her beak on things and rubbing the surface, just like Peggy Sue. We probably wont have enough time for her to get really good, but we'll see.

Here's a picture of Dolly after her bath this evening:

I'm not sure if I posted these ones already, so if I have, sorry!

Clicker training - it's quite controversial... I would like to know if it works... so what did Benny teach you when he made the click - click sound? :haha:

He taught me that clicker training doesn't really work...or at the least, MY clicker training doesn't work because I no longer have a working clicker!!! In all honesty, I bought a book on clicker training a long time ago and tried to clicker train one of my cockatiels. She learned some tricks but did better without the clicker so we used praise and food instead. I dug out my old clicker to see what I might see when the new U2 arrives as he was possibly clicker trained, but I guess we'll never know now. Benny made sure of that, but the amusement was worth a broken clicker that I would probably never use again anyway. :D What wasn't amusing was when he went for the camera cable to transfer pictures of HIM onto the computer for Happy Birdy (man, he's faster than GABE!) Maybe he's shy and doesn't appreciate all these pictures of him on the net. HeHeHe. His efforts were thwarted when his grandpa told on him so I guess we'll never know. Poor BatToo! :haha:

From now on, Dolly photos must come with a warning. "Pink too in photo." I will not let you guys seduce me into getting a too. I will not. Really.

I agree, all photo's of that Dolly need to come with a disclaimer, and a added sound effect, so we dont all run out and buy one. She is an amazing beauty!

I was given a clicker for Christmas this year from my sister. She is a dog trainer, and uses the clicker often in her classes. I have not used it yet but Carl does like to play with it... hehehehe
