All started as a normal morning getting the birds ready for the day. I was up early, thankfully, and was into my morning routine. I had just snuggled and fed Stella then went to Cassie’s cage and was giving her her morning snuggles and AWCK AWCK AWCK AWCK crest up full cockatoo alarm!!!! :spin:
I’m thinking what the h*!? :ugh: so I start scanning the floor for a mouse… nope. Scan the ceiling for bugs… yup! 1 ladybug and 1 mosquito Whew! Got that taken care of so I go back to give Cassie more snuggles.

:exct: WRONG! AWCK AWCK AWCK then in joins the 2 amazons, the 2 conures, and a GW macaw! :spin: Poor Sydney was hanging from the top of her cage wondering what was going on, I don’t remember her ever hanging from the top of her cage and man was she loud!
:eek: OMG! I hope the neighbors can’t hear this! Where are the earplugs? My poor G2 is just sitting there looking at me like mom make them stop.

I’m looking and looking at the ceiling for more bugs, can’t leave for work with my flock in a panic.

:idr: FINALLY… I SEE IT!

You know those tiny cobwebs? The ones barely visible to the human eye unless “just the right light” hits them? I must have had a very busy spider on my ceiling in the middle of the night the whole middle of the ceiling had those things.

SO, at 715 AM I am vacuuming my ceiling!

Cobwebs all gone, now the flock has settled, and my U2 is happily eating her breakfast and now I have to beat the clock to get to work on time.

Those Halloween:witch: cobwebs must have caught the airflow just right to set off your finicky housekeeping birds. Sounds like Halloween is not their favorite holiday. :vamp::bat::vamp:

Their panic calls are usually heart stopping for the mama's and the papa's only to end up leaving them laughing at the silliness of our flock. Cloud is petrified by lady bugs, but he will not hesitate to get off his cage and attack Hunter, a hundred and ten pound German Shepherd.:rofl::rofl:

Irene here, thanks for the laugh it has made my day....a month ago a pleione orchid bloomed on our window,,,the flock spotted it behind the net curtains...that set up a frenzy....so we know what the alarm bells can do for the harmony of the neighbourhood,,,and wreck the nerves for the rest of the day:rofl:

by now... the girls understand, and even laugh at me :haha: they even ask how different ones are doing.
I work with a good small group of ladies, many mornings we have laughs together about the flock especially if I call in late cause Cassie escaped and I can't catch her, or I just didn't get the toys done on time and am running a bit late. They even enjoy when I bring one in for a few hours to help me.

LOL! And the GOFFINS was qiet through this whole thing?! Cassie, you are a doll! HaHaha. It's so funny how the smallest things alarm our birds. I couldn't help but laugh invisioning you with your extension out, giving the ceiling a good vac job that early.
