Please share some of your sweet moments with your feathered ones…

Stella~ at night, after all the fids are tucked in and I have my chores done for the evening, on my way to bed I open Stella’s cage door and go in for a snuggle. I look down so the top of my head goes in 1st then slowly move my hand in. She will come snuggle up to the side of my head and give me kisses while I give her scritches and sometimes she will step onto my arm for some extra snuggles and just lay on my shoulder clicking her beak while I pet her. I have done this since the very 1st night I brought her home it is our special time.

Cassie~ she has become quite the snuggle birdie since I brought her home and more and more she cuddles. She will snuggle close and preen her feathers while I do the ones on her head. When she wants to stay extra long she will put her head inside my shirt and be really still meaning you can’t see me mom so I don’t need to go to my cage just yet.

Both of my girls just melt my heart.

Sydney~ she is always eager for a bedtime kiss and a walk around the house to make sure things are just so before she retires for the night. She will tell me she loves me and place her face next to mine then give me a kiss, she is such a sweet soul.

Early mornings when I uncover the birds Harry is at his sweetest, half awake and gentle scritches and soft love words are shared then. Fred has his cuddle time when I come home from work and again before bed he is my clicker bird. Pookie gets her time when she asks-"come here Mommie" usually means it is time for her to step up and get a neck rub.

At night all the birds except for Carl get covered. He gets too nervous not being able to see what is going on in the room. When I get up in the middle of the night cause nature calls he is always making quiet little noises when I make my way back towards bed. He just has to have his midnight snuggle and kiss, and this is our special time. He stays on one foot, but snuggles his warm little cheak patches up against my skin and makes little kissy noises. When I tell him good night and I'm going to bed he raises his stumpy little crest and makes one big last kissy noise. Then its back to sleep for us.

Ariel's special time is in the evening when she usually invites herself up on my lap for cuddle time and lots of tongue clicking and happy cockatoo noises.
Cosmo is usually up for some cuddles right when I first get home from work. Like she's relieved I made it home okay and she's got someone to play with.
Diva spends about 20 minutes plastered to my cheek every evening while I'm doing the dishes. She has to go down before I open the seed jar to refill bowls. She gets a little snippy when food is involved.

My most special time with Linus is after dinner. Everyone has full tummies and it's cuddle time, just the two of us. Theo is the last one to bed at night, and that is our special time together. She snuggles around my neck and watches some tv with me. Also when I am on the computer, she is always on my shoulder, leaning hard into the side of my face where she often falls asleep. I am excited to move so that I have a place to take the cockatiels and Libby for private cuddle time where there are no bossy big birds around. I know they miss that, and so do I.
