SOme of you may remember that I was trying to find a copy of the book, "My Human, My Slave" to send to Tony/Jill in New Zealand. It is out of print, and the only copy I was able to find at that time was on ebay for $100.00; and that was just too much.
I looked on Amazon.com last week and there were two used copies available for half that price, and I ordered one. Still pricey but I wanted it. It larrived 2 days later and looks brand new, and is very funny. It was written by the "toolady" and from a parrot's perspective. It tells parrots how to choose and train their humans. In the process, it is also teaching humans about bird behavior.
When I was looking for the book for Tony/Jill, I emailed the author to find out if it was going to be reprinted. She printed it herself the first time, but didn't plan to reprint. She did say a publishing company (I think in Canada) was considering printing it. I emailed them, too, but did not get a response.
This books reads a little like Dot's writings about the aliens (but not quite as funny as Dot's). If the toolady isn't going to publish this again, I think Dot could do a whole book on the aliens.
What do you say, Dot? I don't have your talent and imagination, so I can't do it.
