Nuts! where do you get yours??

I am needing to get some Pistacios for the fids. Drs Foster & Smith has them, but they are really small. Hubby was in CA earlier in the year and got some really nice big ones at an orchard. I'm looking for a new source.

I checked my local parrot shop for you last time I went in but they did not sell them packaged or in bulk. I purchase mine from a specialty (human) store called Trader Joes. They have them in and out of the shell in both roasted and raw, all of course are NON-SALTED. Do you have any organic type stores around you? Whole Foods, Nugget, Etc?

have organic stores, only a couple of them sell nuts in bulk, and I won't buy out of the bins... too many yucky fingers have been in there:confused: the nearest whole foods is 3 hours away.

Yeah, I don't get them out of the bin's either. I buy them prepackaged, but I don't go through that much as its only Carl that likes the P's the boys a little but they are little piggy monsters so they don't get a lot of em

Maybe call the manager of the store, explain what you want (not out in the bins with the kids having a field day playing with them) and possibly they will hold some on the side for you that is not put out on the floor. I have done that in the past and the manager knew exactly what I was talking about.
