Today was the North Jersey Exotic Bird Clubs Annual Picnic. This years theme was the Wild West and everyone dressed the part. I did a composite picture of all three of my flock in dressed western, and made an iron on transfer for my T-shirt.

I had decided to take Molly and see how she would do with strangers and outside. Yesterday I found an 8 x 10' portable screen room for $35 and had it set up in 15 min. Molly had a great time sitting on a computer chair dancing to the country music and putting on a show for everybody. She only stopped dancing when they were changing the CD in the player. She did great and put her foot out for a step up to everybody. When I told people that this was the first time out with strangers and I didn't know if she would bite, they decided not to pick her up (which was OK by me).

I'll be posting more pictures later, but here is the link to the gallery with the iron-on transfer picture and the individual pictures of my flock.

Wow! It sounds like Molly did really well on her first outing. Of course, you didn't actually have the opportunity to see how she would act being held by a stranger (big cowards! lol). I LOVED the iron-on transfer. You are SO good on a computer!

I'm hoping to use her as a therapy bird someday, but I have to see how well she does on her outings. I took her out of the dog crate and put her into the screen room and it didn't affect her at all. She kept bobbing up and down to the music and kept saying, "Woo, woo" and "Hellllloooo" in her sophisticated lady voice.

I loved the pictures, Diane, and the names had me cracking up! I wish my bird club had outings like that. Austin Parrot Society is only about 6 months old though, we're kinda in the baby stages yet.
