Did anybody see Jay Leno Tuesday evening? A trainer brought a CAG, a DYH and a yellow-naped Amazon. I can't remember much about the CAG, but the other two talked and sang and were just generally amazing. Jay Leno kept wanting to pet the YNA, and she kept wanting to bite him.

Nothing I've seen beats Snowball, the dancing cockatoo, though. If you haven't seen that video you must.

I don't know what time or date it might be on in your area - You might want to check the viewing schedules.

It would be a shame for you to miss it.

Larry,
Those are actually not bare eyed toos. Those are slinder billed toos. Just thought you might like to know. :)

Andy saw the parrots on jay leno and was telling me about them. I think I have seen her birds somewhere else. He said they were fun to watch, especially when the amazon ran accross a desk, supposedly "after" jay leno, in Andy's opinion.

I totally agree about the snowball video. It gets my best ever cockatoo video vote.

I wouldn't have even known the difference except I came accross a picture of some slinder billed a few weeks ago and was thinking "WOOOW! I didn't even know those existed!" At first I thought it was a BE2 that REALLY needed a beak trim.

"Supposedly 'after?'" Watch the video:

It doesn't show the CAG's performance but it does show the DYH and YNA in all their singing glory - both were very good even though any of us could tell that they were pretty excited from being in front of an audience. Watch at the end of the video as the YNA decides to climb down off of the perch and onto Leno's desk - he was out for blood!

Jay exhibits all the wrong body language & threatening hand and arm motions. Just not an animal person the YNA was justified! it looked like the CAG was ready to be back up with the other guy on the sofa. lol

I watched "Parrots in the Land of Oz" last night and loved it. The Black Palm Toos were absolutely amazing (I was shocked by how sweet their voices were). I loved the Little Corellas and the shot of them on the wire and spinning around absolutely cracked me up. Definitely reminded me of Solo :haha:

I also really liked the clips of the Lorikeets. Their "moves" never fail to get a laugh... too cute. I was surprised it was an hour long (with no commercials either)... it seemed to go by very fast. I wish they had spent more time on Toos... but then Im crazy about those crazy birds :D
