I had Funniest Pets on and they showed this poor keet. I say "poor" because he was really needy. He was on someone's hand, pleasuring himself. Then he got so excited he started hurking.

Well, the script said something about people who do aerobics should never exercise with a full mouth. Did they not know what the bird was doing? Poor baby. They just used him, didn't they?

I wouldn't want to explain this to a child that may have watched it...to those that don't live with birds..it probably would be funny..assuming the bird was playing..yes Dot..I feel they used the poor little thing.

I get furious when I see parrots in movies or on TV and their body language is clearly saying "im not ok with this, get me out of here!" and they are portraying the animal as happy or playful. Or in the case of one movie where they allowed a live (very active) puppy to torment a very alarmed rose breasted cockatoo. What the...?

It does seem that the Keets often get the short end of the stick. Good thing they are such tough little guys.

If you look at the opening of America's Funniest Videos (the mostly people one) you will see a macaw performing the same ritual with his perch and it is set to music and considered to be the bird version of foot tapping or something. Right!!!
