Loretta Update - May 13

Loretta is doing awesome! She is 100% back to her normal self as far as attitude goes though she still has some wounds healing. We will have her in to the vet to have her toe unwrapped and checked on Friday but everything else is looking fantastic and she has even stopped itching. Now she is just trying to eat the incubator.

I went to check on her a little while ago and here is what I found...

Here are some pictures taken of her this afternoon. she is enjoying the playtop on top of her incubator.

She was not, however, thrilled about the camera in her face. I am happy to have that spunk back.

How is PJ doing?

PJ is back to his normal, piggy self and with great relief. He seems to be adapting well to the caged life. I think BatToos old cage is big enough to satisfy his picky needs. We are very grateful that both birds are ok. I will have PJ in to have his beak looked at, as I don't want the beak to grow over his scab.

If I remember the size right, I think BatToos cage is the same size I have my OWA in, and it seems to be a good size. Glad he's adapting to caged life. How old is PJ? Jasper has been getting a bit feisty herself, and I'm wondering if it is an age thing...

PJ is right round 18 or 19. I think the season has not helped!

Wow! She looks so much better. It's hard to believe that just a short time ago we were wondering if she'd make it through the night. I'm glad that she and PJ are doing well.
