Quite a number of years ago a macaw named Sam was the victim of a nasty divorce. Sam was granted award by his dad, even though he was most bonded to mom. Dad has not taken very good care of Sam as he struggles to care for himself. Now Dad, who lives in Seattle, is threatening to dump Sam at the animal shelter. His mom lives in NM and is desperate to get her child back. M&C Rescue of NM needs assistance from someone in seattle to ensure the safety of this bird until he can be flown to NM where his mommy is eagerly waiting for his safe return. We will need a volunteer to go pick Sam up ASAP and hold him until he can be shipped or driven down. Transport will be taken care of on our dime. If someone has an extra crate they would be willing to donate also, that would be awesome. Please PM me or call our organization at (505)994-0505.

I wrote a friend and he sent this.

There is a great Avian clinic located in Freemont in
Seattle. They would be the first place I would look for help with this.

will give a review about the clinic and give info on how to contact
them.

You did good Dot, when one of asks for help we can count on you. It is good that we can be there for each other. I think we have both Laura and Sue in that general area.

I am truly sorry for not getting on line lately. School has been very busy and then I flew off to Arizona. Did the rescue take the bird in? Did the macaw get back to him mommy? I sure hope so. Again I am sorry. Laura
