I am sad it is over. I learned so much. I wish I had found that class the day I got my first bird.
I didn't know that time outs should be about 30 seconds. Makes sense. After that mine would have forgotten what they were in jail for. Also, as soon as you let the bird out of TO, you take him right back to the place he screwed up and offer praise for his being a good bird. If he messes up again, off to TO. Blusher likes to chew holes in my clothes. In two sessions of about 5 minutes each, I have almost eliminated that behavior. It is amazing.
