Yesterday my bestfriend contacted me about taking in another Grey.At first my thoughts were to say no but after talking it over with the owner of the Grey I decided to take it in.It's name is Casy and it's a Congo Grey that is almost 3 years old the owner has to move and can't take Casey with him so he was looking for a good home for him/her.After further talking to Rick the owner we found out that we purchased/rescued birds from the same store. We plan on picking Casey up on Tuesday.:)

Aw, what is one more in a busy household. Will be interesting to see what Casy's personality is like. AFter quarantine how do you think you will house Casy. Do you have an all grey area?

Thanks

From what I'm told he has a 80 word vocabulary and very friendly but we'll see.No I don't have a Grey area they hang out with the Eclectus's.
Only time will tell.

I think it's great of you to offer your home to so many birds. I would be really interested to see how you house them though. Do you have flights or are they all in seperate cages. If cages, that's a lot of cleaning, I know!!! I'm sure between that many greys, you have a whole variety of noises in your house. Microwaves, telephones, coffee pots, doorbells, smoke detectors...hehehe. That would be a sight to see.

Yes they had us going for quite a while between the doorbell and the smoke detector and the alarm until we realised it was the birds.:rofl:It wasn't funny at the time because we thought there was an emergency.:oSome are kept in seperate cages and some have opted to share without a problem. All my birds have flight and are let out in shifts so yes it's a busy house.;)

How funny!!! That is nice of you to take one more in. And when I get tired of cleaning my cages, I just remind myself there are only 5 birds and a bunny and 8 cages compared to some of you. Keep us updated. Laura

No one can say you are short on Grey matter! Wow what a household. My brother & his wife have a Grey named Raffi, I have yet to meet him. I must be lazy only cleaning up after Harry U2 , a Quaker-Buzbee, 2-budgies & one Tiel.
