My wife and I were at her parents' house tonight discussing my future employment prospects. By way of background, I got my BBA in Management Information Systems last July and I've been looking for a new job ever since. I'm currently pursuing employment as a Criminal Investigator with the US Fish & Wildlife Service which, if selected, would involve about four months of training in Glynco, GA - starting in August. :czy:
Well, my in-laws suggested that Anna might go with and even bring the birds with. While this is great, my mother-in-law commented that it was going to be warm in Georgia in August and that, "you should keep the birds outside!" From across the living room I watched my wife's incredulous reaction with amusement. Sensing that something was possibly lacking in her suggestion, my mother-in-law appended, "...in cages, of course!" My wife's steady, slack-jawed look persisted.
I knew from the start of course that this idea would fly like a lead balloon and I simply waited for my wife's response: "Nahhh...why don't we just put Gabe and Katie outside instead!" My mother-in-law returned the exact same incredulous stare that my wife had just given her, clearly not understanding the implication.
I could only chuckle to myself, it was priceless.
