Tina and I talked tonight about Zoey's progress and she is still not really eating. Zoey arrived at Tin'a house Saturday evening, so she had a good breakfast and lunch, but has not eaten much since. (This is Monday night.) Tina tried covering part of her cage with a dark towel, but Zoey kept pulling it off. Zoey is at least dancing occasionally for them, allowing them to pet her, but she is also "crying" alot today. Of course she is confused and missing us and I am sure missing Buchee. It is also much busier there than at my place. Tina has teenage daughters with friends, dogs, and just lots more activity. Tina said she will watch to see how much she is really drinking tomorrow and watch her dropping better. Any advice? How long will they go without eating? Thanks.

Have her try a warm mash feeding it will provide comfort, get some food into her and assist bonding. She needs to eat something today.

Did you have a recent weightof her? she may want to weigh her and see how much she's loosing, poor baby doesn't understand and like Jill said warm mushy foods will help to comfort her. What about her cage placement? Where is she? if she's in a high traffic area that may be disturbing to her also.

No I did not have her current weight before she left. Zoey is unwilling to be weighed at home. Only the vet can get away with it. Apparently Zoey ate a good chunk of corn bread tonight and she even enjoyed playing in a box on top of her cage. Tina is even feeling a bit better about the situation. She wanted to bring Zoey back tonight, but we discused it and Tina is going to hang in there. She was just so worried that Zoey was going to starve on her. Thanks for everyone's advice.

Zoey came out and cuddled with Tina today for an hour. She is also eating better. So now Tina is felling better about the situation. When asked jokingly if I could have Zoey back, Tina said, "NO!" I miss her, but I must admit, it is calmer at my house now.

Tina's daughter is going to take my lopped eared bunny, Cocoa bunny, home on Sunday. He comes out to run around my house each night, but I don't give him the attention he deserves. So having 2 less cages to clean, less stress with Zoey wanting to attack Bebe and daddy, I should hopefully be less stressed.

So now you can take a deep breath and relax just a little?
