4 a.m. heart attack (everything is OK!)

So around 4 a.m. I hear Chicken screaming like he's being killed. It wasn't an attention scream or anything like that it was a DANGER HELP ME scream. I get out of bed so fast I fall and get a rug burn on my knee. I'm scared to death and I scramble out the bedroom door to the kitchen. I get in there and Matthew is standing by the fridge about a foot from Chicken's cage. I'm thinking that he was just in the livingroom playing a game or watching TV and made it to Chicken before I did. No, he tells me he came in to get something out of the fridge and Chicken started freaking out and lunging at him through the bars.
I'm thinking Matthew woke Chicken up and he didn't realize who it was. Once I calmed down and could breathe again Matthew says, 'Wow... you have a good reaction time'. :haha:

Tell Matthew that mine are not even in the kitchen, but if I sneak in there to get something late at night, somebirdie tells me "Night night." I've learned to put the snacks in the bedroom before going to bed. LOL

No one's gonna be sneaking in your house without you knowing! poor chicken, good watch bird.

Extra snuggles for the poor chicken butt.... He is just being a good watch dog momma!
