While I was upstairs vacuuming, Cloud let himself out and did some house cleaning of his own. At least he hasn't been able to remove his water dish since I put a heavy ceramic bowl in the stainless dish . . .humm . . . unless he puts it back before I see it.

Oh my! The noise of the vacuum was a nice "disguise" for Cloud, eh? Looks like he found a great little game to play!

Just a little redecorating there!

Diane,

My guess is Cloud reported back to the mother-ship when you had your back turned. Ya just can't trust those aliens.:p

Cloud loves the sound of the blow dryer and the vacuum. (maybe it sounds like the mothership) I think he dumps his food dishes cause I always get the vacuum out). Yep, he's got me well trained there.

I also noticed yesterday, that he knows more words than he's willing to share with me. Right now he only says "What are you doin'" and "pretty bird" in front of me.
While out of sight in another room, I heard him muttering to himself (or the mothership), "Bad bird" from the Cops theme song, and some of my dogs commands, "come", "wait" and "down". When I went to praise him for the words, he just looked at me like he didn't know what I was talking about. I think I know why Hunter is always upstairs when I come home from work . . . Cloud probably runs him through obedience commands when I'm not home. Humiliating for a service dog!

LOL! Hunter is plum wore-out by the time you get home!
Hey, maybe Cloud needs to start teaching dog training classes!

I can just see Cloud's lesson plan for today.

Objectives:
The subject will be irritated by the alien's behavior.
The subject will use forbidden words to express this irritation.
The subject will ask questions about how the mess was made.

Assessment:
The number of forbidden words the subject shouts.
The amount of time it takes the subject to clean up the mess.
The number of questions the subject asks about what happened.

Approximate Duration of lesson: two hours

Content Standards:

Communication: Interpretive Mode
Subject understands and interprets behavior of alien.

Communication: Interpersonal Mode
Subject engages in direct oral communication in her native language in order to provide and obtain information, in order to socialize the alien, and in order to express feelings and emotions, and in order to exchange opinions.

Cultures: Practice
Subject demonstrates an understanding of the relationship between the practices (patterns of social interactions) and perspectives (meanings, attitudes, values, ideas) of the alien culture.

ROFL . . .
Post script to above post. . . Alien leaves fully digested deposit of food matter strategicly dropped on back of subjects head as subject is bent over sweeping up shredded paper and seed.

Alien observations: Subject shows great tolerance and refills food dish then retreats to shower to remove previously deposited food matter from ponytail. Subject seems more upset with self, for not anticipating all possible outcomes of senario, than with alien.

Alien conclusion: Going to have to step up stressers on subject to determine breaking point.

Cloud is working up to have you jumping through hoops, one day they may be flaming hoops. Practice practice practice. I'm certain there is a video hook up with a direct link to the mother ship. My belief is that they share the planet & our homes in search of entertainment & forbidden foods! >:}
