Two weeks old today! His little wing feathers are starting to break out of the sheafs at the very tips:

I have a confession. Until these tiel babies, I thought all baby birds were ugly. Nothing about them appealed to me.
I don't know if I have finally seen enough baby birds to get past what they look like or if it is your photography, but I think these babies are adorable.

I must admit, they're starting to grow on me. I've always thought the babies were pretty ugly, but they're getting cuter... lol
Thanks for sharing.

Oh, they are just too darling! They really are cute. This is exactly how people get into trouble if they have NEBs disease. This is how Tony made it home...and well worth it I might add.

Thanks. I love that one of Bud Light defending her cage. Tiels are so awesome. I know some people (people with big birds) refer to the little birds as "Tweety birds," but I love the tweety birds. Budgies included. What a joyful sound they make - all day long. LOL

I have to say that there are definitely big bird people and little bird people...I've been bitten by a tiel...no WAY do I want to be bitten by a cockatoo. My fiance has...we almost adopted an umbie from a rescue around Christmas of last year...but he bit my fiance three times on three different trips, so we made the decision that he wasn't for us. Ironic enough, he didn't start biting until he met another lady that he fell in love with! We let HIM make the choice, and it wasn't us.
I love my green cheek tons...and I don't post about him enough....
I adore looking at big birds, but I am completely intimidated (except by african grays, don't ask me why, but I feel like they wouldn't hurt me)
oh! and you're welcome!

I don't know, I had a teil take a chunk out of my finger once. It was the same amount of hurt as a big bird bite, it just occupied a smaller space. Little birds are easier to disengage from, I guess.
