Subject: hair destructive behavior, according to gender
I have determined the Subjects' names for hair destructive behavior. When the male destroys the hair on his face, it is called shaving. The same word is used when the female destroys the hair on her legs. I do not understand why they use the same word for behavior performed by different genders. Research continues.
I have observed that prior to initiation of hair destructive behavior, the female will rub her leg and say, "Rough" or "not smooth." Sometimes she even uses the appropriate verb and says, "Need to shave." On the other talon, when the male rubs his face, prior to initiation of hair destructive behavior, he says, "Rough" or "Scruff."
What I have learned today is that we should never point out "not smooth" or "rough." Today while I was on my Subject, she reached down and rubbed her leg. She did not say anything, so I pulled on of the hairs for her and said, "not smooth." :wtl: Well, the Subject put me in the incarceration chamber. How dare she. I was doing what she was going to do thirty minutes later. Apparently we are to ignore all hair destructive behavior. We should not discuss it. And above all, we should not assist in the process.
With sincereness,
