I went trucking with hubbyJ

My hubby has been bugging me for awhile to go in the truck with him. He hauls livestock {pew} I’ve never been interested in going. Saturday I finally went with him on a short haul. I would not want to do his job; I’ll keep mine. My butt hurt, my legs hurt, I felt like a milkshake… I don’t know how those guys do it everyday bouncing down the road in those big trucks.
He asks… want to drive?? I said are you crazy!!?? It looks like you’re driving a building down a sidewalk!

That is awesome, I think it is so cool when spouses go along for the day some times. He did not convince you to bring the two tooz along?

My job is boring (accountant) so my hubby would be stir crazy, but he works on medical equipment, and runs into some neat stuff sometimes!

Funny, I have two female friends who used to drive trucks... I guess the key term here is "used to"!

Not me! I hate driving more than a half hour! ;)

My daddy use to haul cooking oil to places that made things like doughnuts, McDonald's Chicken Nuggets and fries and stuff. I just LOVED going with him. It was always fun to get to spend time with him.

HaHa! Those two birds would have laid an egg!
Brenda,
I think it's awesome that you decided to go with, and support hubby, even though you didn't enjoy it much. Andy used to go off roading and he always wanted me to go with. I tell you, when it go so you would look out the winshield and see nothing but sky because the vehicle was tilted at such a sharp angle, I thought I was going to lay an egg too!

When I was in HS, I had a job at a local marina that sold Ski Doo snowmobiles in the winter. To promote the new sport, the owner would have the mechanics compete in races on the weekend. He sent them outfitted in new Ski Doo jackets and pants that matched the model machine they would be racing. My job was to keep inventory on all machines, accessories and parts that were sold back at the showroom. They would always come back and tease me by saying they had signed me up for the next weeks race in the powder puff (Womens’ Division). I have never ridden on a snowmobile and had no intention or interest in racing one. Towards the end of the season, the owner came to me and told me to pick out a TNT suit and that I would be going with the race team on the weekend. I argued that I didn’t even know how to start, drive or race a snowmobile and they assured me that they would teach me before the weekend. Long story short, I never got a lesson. My ‘pit crew’ put the machine on the starting line and said watch the light tree and when the yellow lights drop down to green gun it and don’t let up till I reached the light at the other end. As they were walking to their positions on the sidelines, I realized I didn’t know where the brake was and summoned them back. They told me not to worry about it because they disconnected it because it created too much drag. (They were afraid I’d use it once the machine went over 5mph). Well, I won that race, the elimination round, and the Womens Division. I came home with three trophies and the good old boys got one amongst them. They never asked me to go again! :haha::yeah::dnzr::queen:

Awesome! I hope you display the trophies in a prominent place.

They were added to the trophy shelf in the showroom, till years later the shelf collapsed and I don't know what happened to the trophies. I still gives me a chuckle when I think about that day.
