I arrived home last night after work and could hear the birds calling to me as I got out of the car; when I opened the front door I got a big HELLO! from Sydney and then she honked at me wanting OUT! I always have taken Stella out 1st and I did the same last night, Syd didn't like to wait for her turn and she let me know with continual calls to me. When it was her turn she stepped right up and gave me a kiss. She loves:hart: momma.
This morning whenever I ran water she seemed excited and I finally figured she was wanting another shower so I took her in she had just had one on Tuesday. What a happy bird she was and what a wet momma I was:haha: I got a second shower.

Love to hear about all your girls-from my experience Macaws love baths! You may be running a very well washed household now.

So are you holding her on your arm and putting her into the shower, have her on the top of the shower doors, or a full step in with her? Ive always wondered how people get thier macaw's in the shower!
She does LOVE you, just like the rest of your flock. She sure has found a perfect fit!

She stood on my arm and I stayed outside the shower. It's a full shower with her, I don't think she's gonna share too much with me when I'm in there too:haha: we'll see this weekend.

That is really sweat that she loves you so much already!!! You were meant for each other!!!!!
Here is a picture of Bebe after her shower 2 years ago (and me before I cut my hair). I wanted you to see the bird shower perch I bought and just LOVE!!! The top goes around the shower head and is totally secure!!! It works for all birds, but I watch my smaller ones more than the bigger ones.

I will take a photo tonight and try to post it ASAP. I really love this perch and have no worries of it collapsing and scaring the birds.

Hey Chrissy... sometimes it takes a while before Toos get comfortable with something. The last stand I made for Baby, I had to sit it on the other side of the room far away from her until she got used to it. Then I moved it a bit closer into her territory. And after another week or two, I moved it next to the window... and it is now her favorite place to perch to look out the window.

They will sit on it no problem ... they just dont like it when its in the shower ... of course neither one of them is over fond of the shower anyway..
