My 50 year old brother is in the hospital for pancreatus and hypertension.
He was rushed by ambulance on New Years Eve.He is currently on medications and a liquid diet where he is being closely monitored.This has been very difficult for my brother and our family.My brother is in such denial about his health and doesn't plan on taking any medication once released from the hospital.This has me and the family very worried and upset.As it stands our father died from complications from hypertension at the age of 59.Please pray that my brother will come to his senses and listen to his doctor and take his medication.:confused:

You and your brother are in my prayers. Sometimes we're just too afraid of the scary things in life to accept them. It might help him to accept what is going on if someone sat down with him and told him that it's ok to be afraid. Those men think they have to be big and strong, but no one can be all the time! Just a thought.

Marcia,
Your brother is in my prayers and good thoughts. Hopefully he will take the doctor's advice. It all might be able to be controlled with medication.
Hang in there girl... we love you.

Perhaps he will have enough time in hospital to accept the fact he is ill & needs help to feel better & to not go down the darker path because he can feel better if he takes care of himself. Will send lots of positive thoughts & some prayers your way. {{{HUGS}}}

Prayers comming your way. I hope he listens before he gets out. He sounds like one that hates to go to the Dr & hates to take meds. Maybe he needs a one on one conversation with a friend, a relative he may think as hounding him. (just a thought)
