Diane has reported that it is safe to directly ask you questions about the subjects and their culture. (I confess it is nice not using the toaster or the blow dryer.) The Mothership has received many strange reports about unusual activities tonight. :yernutz: They are occurring across the country. I have listed below some of the most often repeated activities. It is our hope that you can explain the activity in relation to the Subject's culture and thereby add to our store of knowledge on these strange featherless creatures.
Many have reported that their subjects are watching a "ball fall" in Time Square. There are many types of "ball" games and "fall" is a season. We do not see the correlation.
Many subjects use small explosive devices primarily designed to produce a large amount of noise. What is the purpose of this activity?
Many of the male Subjects are raving about the ballgames tomorrow. Is it customary to receive the new year in some kind of athletic competition? Does the winner have a better year?
Your assistance in answering these questions is greatly appreciated.
With sincereness,
