Good grief not even our sports guys are safe. At least they can handle higher amounts than our birds can.

It was also found in indoor/outdoor carpet. Some people use that carpet in their bird rooms or florida rooms or 3 season room etc. Places where a bird can get too. My CAG will sneak down and try and chew carpet so I have to keep an eye on him. He likes chewing cloth so I get toys that have cloth.

Thanks Don for the info.

This is not a surprise as artificial grass and the such are plastic and most plastics contain lead.

I hope everyone who reads about the dangers of lead never give their birds anything plastic. There are so many good wood toys on the market - why put your bird at risk???

Here is what one manufacturer says about "their" artificial grass product... http://www.synlawn.com/ As Don says... Those who sell it swear by it.
