View Full Version : You will be so proud of me.
Norton told me to download something and I did. The computer gremlins from Norton took the liberty of changing my automatic scan from 2:00 am on Fridays to 8:00 pm on Mondays. Sorry, but I use my computer at 8:00 pm. I found the place to change it all by myself and am so proud. I can continue playing without the speed of my computer being destroyed. :haha:

Dot,
You are simply amazing!
Dot,
You are simply amazing!
Now, there is no call to be sarcastic!:rofl::rofl: I'm an old lady and when I can figure out how to do something on the computer, it is a reason to rejoice! I rock!:yeah::yeah:
(Please don't take this the wrong way. Did I put enough silly stuff in it for you to know that I am playing?)
Here is why I get so proud when I do something correctly. I downloaded something to convert to mp3 to use in slide shows because their music inhales with great velocity. The last time I tried to use it, it told me I was out of my free trial and would have to buy it, so I downloaded another free one. It put three shortcuts on my desktop. I tried all three and never got anything converted so I uninstalled them tonight. I went back to my original one with the intent to pay whatever they wanted. Hey, it let me do a conversion for free. I stay so lost on computers. Thanks for sharing the joy when I do something right.

For some, it comes so easy~ for others we have to struggle. I am a struggler.
Last week my free virus protection expired and all I could find was a 12 HOUR download. WHAT!!??? I don't have that kind of time! I finally found the update for the program and it took 15 minutes. I am so thankfull when someone posts a new trick on here. Somethings I can find accidently but then can't recreate them

Dot, :hihihi:
You simply are amazing. Do you know that EVERY time I have any sort of computer issue I run to my hubby. I don't even attempt to fix it. Either that or if he is traveling the computer stays off. That was a genuine patt on the back, because you definately try where as I turn the stupid thing off till hubby deals with it!:o

When I taught, I would just stand up and say, "Will someone fix this thing, please." I remember once it was frozen and a kid asked me how many windows I had open. That was when I realized that you were supposed to close them!   Now do you see why I am so proud when I fix something! :haha: Thanks for the pat on the back.
Get Norton out of your computers !!! It's way to invasive and they use threatening tactics to get you to renew - Get Out I say OUT !!
I have been using AVG for over 2 years - and it's free :)

Don, do I uninstall Norton before I download AVG?
""Don, do I uninstall Norton before I download AVG?""
Yes, as Norton would attempt to block AVG's download.
