Auntie Anna is spoiling me rotten by sharing her organic (gluten free!) cheesy-poofs which I just loooooove. Yesterday the whole flock got some natural popcorn to eat but we all had lots of fun playing with it before we ate it. She thought I might have fun playing with an ear of cooked corn, but it looked more like an alien spy transmition device to me so I threw it out! Some of the other birds did the same thing...so who is to say that parrots have bird brains?!

Aunt Anna has been setting me outside for a few minutes every day while she waters her new rose bushes and I just love the warm weather. She picked some rosemary off her bush in the yard to use for cooking a few days ago and set a baggie full of the stuff on the porch. It smelled so good I had to investigate and before she knew it, I had seasoned the whole patio with her special spice. I just wanted it to smell real purdy for any visiters who might be coming by. Today Anna, Peggy Sue and I went for a short walk to the mailbox and I surprised them all. I started flapping my wings, pretending I was going to fly. Anna had me by the foot and I don't mind holding hands with her because it makes me feel safe. She held me up in the air as high as she could reach and I flapped all the way to the mailbox and back. I can't stretch my wings out all the way yet but I did a really good job and everyone was proud of me though I think Peggy Sue was a little jealous.

Anna keeps trying to get all the little pins out of my hair but she just doesn't understand when I try to tell her that I like the baby look. Check out the photo of me below! More of my feathers have grown in and you can hardly tell I have been plucking unless I open my wings. I don't know if the feathers under my wings will ever grow back but if they don't I don't mind. I really like the shaved pits look anyway - it's sexy. And that's what I am! I'm "the lady in red" and no one could ever convince me otherwise. I'm so excited to meet you, Mom and I have been sooo happy lately! I can't wait to show you what a good girl I am! Love you and see you soon!

PS: Anna told me about my great big new cage. I'm reall excited, but the truth is that I will be happy just as long as I get to be with you. Oh, and before I forget, thank you for all of the wonderful toys you always spoil me with. The other birds are jealous because I have more toys than anyone else!!!

So nice we can share the beauty, the progress and the story w/o the taste of cheeze puffs, just the look.

Heeeeey now!
I don't know what kind of cheesy poofs you have up there in Canada, but these ones are quite tasty! Actually, I like them MUCH better than Cheetoes! I liked them enough to eat the whole bag...in one day. LOL! Well...Gabe helped a little.
