I feel we have come a long way already (long)

While Roscoe was at my daughters house he would lunge at me whenever I got too close to his cage (if my daughter was close by) if she wasn't he just ignored me. Now he lets me touch his feet, and when I approach his cage he comes to the front of the cage and talks to me ... he does fan his tail, also his head feathers are all fluffed up. He doesn't appear to be aggressive towards me, he almost let me touch his head today but he backed off. For right now I am satisfied with just touching his feet and him talking to me or being a horse or rooster or pig or even a police car.... whatever he wants to be is fine with me... I will take it slow... like I said before I will also wait till the girls have gone home they he and I can have some real one on one time...

Great news! Just keep in mind that the body language you are describing could be excited, but it could be aggressive, too. A lot of amazons talk when they want to bite. :D

Oh believe me Anna I don't plan on putting my hand in there yet, I am just going to let him have his own space for now... he has let me touch his feet and beak.

Amazons are such characters-They bite hard but forgive a bit more easily than a Too. They also have a well developed sense of humor. Enjoy your progress indeed.
