For those of you reading to your birds, how is it going? Did you read today?

I am so jealous of Larry and Baby. My birds will not look at the pictures, except for the Scarlet Macaw, who looks at Goodnight, Moon. Of course, macaws are ADHD, so getting them to concentrate on pictures long enough to finish a book would be impossible. It would be so easy to teach a bird the names of the animals if the bird looked at the pictures. Then you could teach the sound the animal makes.

I did look for animal sounds online and found these.

The second one is a matching game. I have not yet shown it to Blusher, but I have high hopes. (Yeah, right!) :smiles:

Blusher is continuing to try to do a rooster sound. She is improving.

Don't be too jealous... remember - she is an Umbie and they are not known to sit still for too long. I just have to catch her in the right mood. She has managed to "bookmark" a couple pages here and there.

She does have the patience to spend time on things that interest her. She is quite mechanicle.

Last night was funny - I had a magnifying glass on my desk and she discovered if you look through it - things will appear big. So she spent the longest time looking through that stange thing.

Larry,

Your too, and you too, just amuse me too much. I can just see a too holding a magnifying glass and looking through it..... I'm lucky if my too does not look through my glasses, he LOVES them!
