Michelle and her flock finally moved into their new home last night. It's sooo quiet in the house today as my quarentine is virtually empty after the 5 of them were no longer there. This, as always, is not for long as we have 4 more birds scheduled to come tomorrow and I'm sure they will have no problem filling the air with all sorts of exotic noises once again. Anyhow, I helped move all of her birds and they all seemed to settle into their band new bird room just fine. For those wondering, yup, Cosmo went with and is still best buddies with Tucker. They sing to eachother from their respective cages and I never had the heart to tell them that their songs sound akin to something dying a slow and painful death. As long as it's music to their ears I guess all is well - unless Tiki decides to move out!
Some other good news that I will share because Michelle doesn't have internet yet. She was able to work something out with the hospitals financial dept. and they agreed to cover all of the cost of her hospital stay except for a $300 co-pay. I was so excited to hear that and I know it was a huge load off her shoulders. Michelle's boyfriend came back to town yesterday and wanted to see her. She did the right thing and told him to move on. She is still hurting a bit and needs all the prayers and support she can get. There have been so many new changes in her life lately, but I know she'll pull through. She's such a wonderful person and so much stronger than she thinks, sometimes.
Here's a video of her birds being silly before they left.
