Another sad tale-at least the climate is compatible. Those clipped wing birds can soar sometimes. Harry has five primaries clipped off each wing and can fly beautifully and make pinpoint landings. Hope they find her.

Wouldn't that about have to be an Eclectus? I think I would mention a species in my lost add, and one of the hundreds of pictures I have of her. Any who.

I made that same new parrot owner mistake. Got the wings clipped then assumed she couldn't fly, at all. He left her 4 flights on the end of each wing. This was only about a week after having been with me. After our vet visit, I drove across the street to my parents house to visit my brother since he had just gotten home.

I let Echo sit on my shoulder inside the house and out back on the porch. She never moved. As I was leaving, walking out to my car, a car passing on the highway startled her. Up she went, much to my shock. It was windy enough she hovered above me for a bit, then came back down and I rushed her into the car and her carrier.

Now she only has two flight feathers, but I still don't want to take that risk again.
