Alternate Title: Have you ever been in a situation like this?

Tonight when it came time to clean cages, I let everyone out of jail, with the explanation that the first time a bird messed up (as in left the play gym where I put him), he was going back to jail. When it came time to move Blusher's (RFM) cage so I could vacuum under it, I started pulling it toward the swing that Fergie (Scarlet) was on. She started climbing up the side of the swing in preparation of getting on Blusher's cage. I explained this was a no no. I got her to step up on my hand and I put her on top of her cage, then moved Blusher's cage. You can guess how long it took Fergie to decide to come down and as soon as her talons hit the floor, she remembered that she owned it. :dancered:

I was trying to get to the towel that I leave on top of the speaker. To do that, I had to get on the sofa. Fergie cut me off by going under Blusher's cage. This left me standing on the sofa and Fergie on the floor between me and the speaker, which was just out of reach. It was hysterical because of the potential for harm and because Fergie had won again. :haha:

I tried putting a toe on the floor and Fergie didn't lunge at it. So far, so good. I put the foot on the floor and saw a red pterodactyl :susp: headed my way, so I got back up on the sofa, laughing out loud. We had a stand off until I remembered the blanket on the sofa. I wrapped it around my hand, but Fergie wasn't interested. She wanted to go upstairs (to be alone with the mama). When she was only half way up, she stepped up on my hand and I put her in her cage.

All of this time, the other three were shouting, trilling, or squealing like a girl (that was Leroy). I don't know who they were pulling for. :haha: :haha: :haha:

Dot...you better be keeping score. This is like some kind of new age birdy gladiators! I had a similar experience only my story involved a toilet seat.

Dot -

Maybe you should start wearing combat boots around the house.
