Cosmo & Tucker

It didn't take long for Michelle to decide that Cosmo is right for her and her flock. Her birds are at our house while she is staying with us and when Cosmo came, Michelle's Tucker lit up when he saw another quaker. We let the two out for a visit and it was instant love! Tucker even started acting like a REAL quaker and that alone WOWED us! Michelle is going to keep the birds seperate but allow them out of cage time to visit.

***Please note, for those who do not already know, it is best to quarentine new birds for at least 30-60 days before allowing them to mingle with existing birds to rule out disease, unless a bird has been deemed healthy by your avian vet.

What a fantastic photo. I am so happy for my little buddy, Tucker. I so hope I get to meet him. He sounds charming. Now Cosmo can teach Tucker the ropes. How cool is it that he got excited when seeing another Quaker!

Tucker was found flying around an elderly gentleman's yard in downtown Albuquerque. We will never know for sure if he was a pet and escaped or wild, as he kind of acts like a wild bird but is so friendly. Tuckier is very clever but simple things like 'step up' are beyond him. I fostered him before Michelle adopted him and we are both in agreement that Tucker rides the short bus. Who knows now...he has started acting like a quaker with Cosmo around! Funny how another bird can change things.
PS: Tucker is the one on the left, Cosmo is right. Wasn't that video a hoot?

My Libby went crazy when she heard and then saw that video. She just loves watching other quakers (he loves pluto and the quaker song). Was that Peggy Sue at the end reminding us to brush our teeth?

Yup, Peggy gets sooooo jealous when she sees that the camera is out but not on her. She was hollering from the other room...but then started on her "brush your teeth" in hopes that it might get more attention.

It is so nice to find a buddy for your parrots, thier whole world just suddenly expands. The two of them are so cute sitting there chattering, or are they laughing? I can't tell but they sure are adorable!
