Diane,
You have been quiet, when do the girls get to come home?
Yeah, and when do we get to see pictures of them?

The original plan was to paint their room this weekend, so I could pick them up one day this week. But with the arrival of Jakey, that plan went out the window. I've been staying at my daughters the past two days (going home to do birdy cuddles and doggie time a couple times a day). If this weekend is nice, I'll put Cloud on the back porch for the day and paint. Once the room is painted I'll make a vet appt and pick them up and go right to the vet with the girls to get some tests done. I'm concerned about the condition of their old cages, with the paint chewed off and the raw metal scratched up.
I had to go out Monday and pick up some premie diapers and clothes, but I also stopped at Home Depot to pick up some SS hardware and pine 2x3's to cut up to make some toys.

Diane -
Your probably already know to use a water-based paint and wait until all the paint fumes are gone before you bring the birds in.
I'm a worry wart.

Yup, that's why I've been waiting for a nice day so Cloud could hang out on the enclosed back porch for the day. The paint is water base and is eco friendly, and fume free (and 30% more $$). When I think about the girls coming home, I get an excitement overload with all that's been happening.
